What does a studio pet photoshoot involve?

When you and your pet first arrives, we let them run around in our courtyard and settle into our environment. We take our time to let them sniff. absolutely. everything! And once they are comfortable, we will begin the photoshoot. Each session generally takes no more than 30-45 minutes and during that time I will take a variety of photos of your pet in our studio using backdrops and lighting. If we have time, we may try more than one backdrop. We might also need you to assist with handling your pet to get them into position. Often they are happy enough with just me but some prefer their hooman! Depending on your pet's personality, training and co-operation, we may even try treat or ball-catching, bubbles or high-fives! During your photoshoot we will also show you a variety of our printed products, art work and gift items for you to consider ahead of your purchase appointment.

Because we specialise in wall art, we don't sell individual digital files. However you do receive the corresponding digital file of your wall art order - see pricelist for conditions. And because we understand you really want to show off your photos on social media, you are also welcome to share any photo we post on our Facebook and Instagram to your own social pages, use them as your avatar, download them to your phone. We just ask that tag us and you don't remove our logo or alter them in any way.

Why can't I bathe my dog on the day of the photoshoot?

Some dogs find grooming and bathing a stressful situation and we want them to come to us as calm as possible. Plus, many freshly groomed pets end up with a lot of loose flyaway hair that ends up throughout our studio and on the backdrop during the session so I have to spend many hours editing them out of your photos!
