CARING FOR PRINT PRODUCTS
Can I clean my canvas or boxed frame canvas print?
All our canvas prints have a layer of satin laminate. This laminate maximizes the archival qualities of the prints. It also makes your canvas prints easy to clean! You can either dust them with something soft or wipe them down as required with a clean, lightly damp cloth.
Care for Metal Prints
Our Metal Prints are water proof and can be wiped down with a damp cloth to remove dust or finger prints.
We don’t recommend the use of harsh abrasive cleaners. If you do have something a little more stubborn to remove such as oiling finger prints, we recommend an Isopropyl Alcohol cleaner which you can buy from hardware stores.
Chromaluxe panels are rated light-fast for 60 years, but we still recommend hanging your metal print out of direct sunlight.
Cleaning Acrylic Photoblock
If you happen to get finger prints or dust on the front of the Acrylic Photoblock, we recommend cleaning it with a simple white cotton cloth and household methylated spirits.
Simply spray the methylated spirits onto the cloth and wipe over the front surface, being careful to not wet the back of the block which is the print.
How do I care for my picture frame?
Like all artwork, picture frames should be hung out of direct sunlight. Wherever possible you should avoid hanging it in an area subject in excessive humidity.
Frames can be dusted, or wiped down with a damp of cloth. The glass in the frame can be polished using a standard glass cleaner (ammonia free if possible).
How do I care for Fine Prints?
Fine art prints are printed on an uncoated paper so should be treated with care. When handling the prints, hold using the outer white border to avoid marking the print surface.
Dusting a fine art print is okay, but it is best to use a soft brush or similar.
